Sarah Johnson

Sarah Johnson is Principal and Chief Compliance Officer at CastleArk Management LLC, based in Chicago, Illinois. In her current role, she oversees all compliance functions and plays a key leadership role in ensuring the firm adheres to regulatory and fiduciary standards across its diverse investment strategies, including large cap growth, small cap growth, SMID growth, international equity, and energy asset classes.

Prior to joining CastleArk in December 2021, Sarah built a distinguished career at PPM America, Inc., where she served for nearly three decades as Senior Managing Director and Head of Equity Trading, overseeing public equity trading operations and playing a significant role in shaping trading strategies for institutional equity portfolios. Her expertise covers equity markets and compliance, with practical experience spanning trust administration and settlement from the early stages of her career.

Sarah holds a JD from DePaul University College of Law and a BBA in Finance from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Her deep regulatory knowledge and background in both legal and trading functions allow her to bridge operational excellence with investment integrity, contributing significantly to CastleArk's reputation for prudent asset management and industry best practices.
