George Dai, Ph.D., serves as Chief Investment Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager at Weatherbie Capital, LLC, a Boston-based growth-equity investment firm specializing in small- and mid-cap U.S. equities. In this capacity, Dai oversees all investment strategies and manages several specialized growth portfolios, including Weatherbie’s Specialized Growth products, leveraging his expertise to identify and evaluate promising growth companies.

Dr. Dai’s investment focus areas include consumer, health care, and technology sectors, with a notable strength in evaluating companies in innovative and rapidly changing industries. Leveraging his scientific background, particularly in organic chemistry and pharmaceutical research, he brings rigorous analytical skills to fundamental equity research, with a strong emphasis on U.S. small-cap growth stocks.
