Jeff Hoo

Jeffrey J. Hoo, CFA serves as Principal and Portfolio Manager at Granite Investment Partners, LLC in Los Angeles, California. He is the Lead Portfolio Manager for the firm's Micro Cap, Small Core, and Small Core Select Equity strategies, and also acts as Co-Portfolio Manager for the Small Growth Equity strategy. His primary investment focus includes the Health Care and Technology sectors, where he serves as an analyst, bringing sector-specific expertise to equity selection and portfolio construction.

Mr. Hoo began his investment career at Westcap Investors, where he specialized in micro cap equity and healthcare and technology analysis from 1997 to 2005, before joining Transamerica Investment Management as Principal and Portfolio Manager. At Transamerica, he managed institutional and mutual fund accounts across various small cap strategies until 2011, when he joined Granite Investment Partners as part of its founding team of senior equity managers.

He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and has over 26 years of investment industry experience. Mr. Hoo earned degrees from UCLA Anderson School of Management and Duke University and graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall, establishing a strong academic foundation in finance, investment analysis, and portfolio management.
