Ray Kennedy

Ray Kennedy is a portfolio manager at Hotchkis & Wiley Capital Management LLC, where he leads the firm's High Yield bond portfolios. Based in Corona Del Mar, California, he leverages more than 39 years of investment experience, with 16 years at Hotchkis & Wiley, to manage fixed income investments with a particular focus on high yield corporate credit.

Prior to joining Hotchkis & Wiley, Mr. Kennedy was Managing Director and portfolio manager at PIMCO, where he led the global high yield business and oversaw high yield funds, bank loans, and collateralized debt obligations. At PIMCO, he was instrumental in building the firm's credit team and served as a senior member of the investment strategy group, contributing significantly to product innovation and asset growth. His earlier experience includes roles as a private placement asset manager at Prudential Insurance and as a consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

Mr. Kennedy holds a CFA charter and earned his BS from Stanford University as well as his MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. Recognized for his industry expertise, he is known for his contributions to high yield and fixed income investing and for his active participation in shaping research and portfolio construction in these asset classes.
