Robert Smith

Robert Smith is President of Peregrine Private Capital Corporation, based in Lake Oswego, Oregon, where he specializes in real estate investment solutions, particularly 1031 exchange properties such as Tenant-in-Common (TIC) and Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) offerings. His key responsibilities include advising individual investors on direct and alternative investments, managing client relationships throughout property identification and closing, and ensuring compliance with best practices in the 1031 exchange sector.

Smith's career spans more than 35 years in the securities industry, with significant experience at firms such as Concorde Investment Services, Pacific West Securities, and Brookstreet Securities, before leading Peregrine Private Capital. He has completed over 200 TIC and DST transactions and is recognized for his ethical business practices, including being a founding member of the Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association (ADISA) and a recipient of the ADISA "Champion of Excellence" award. He was also named a finalist for Boomer Market Advisor Magazine’s Advisor of the Year Award in 2007.

He holds an MBA from Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management, augmenting his deep expertise in alternative investments and real estate securities.
