Jean Coste

Jean-François Coste serves as Senior Equity Analyst at Tocqueville Asset Management L.P., based in New York, NY. In this role, he is a key member of the Global Equity investment team, responsible for fundamental research, security selection, and supporting the portfolio’s disciplined, value-oriented strategy focused on capital preservation and growth. Coste’s investment coverage spans global publicly traded equities, with notable expertise in the Health Care, Information Technology, Industrials, Financials, Energy, Consumer Discretionary, and Materials sectors.

Prior to joining Tocqueville Asset Management in 2008, Coste was Senior Vice President - Global Investments at U.S. Trust, where he gained deep experience in global portfolio management and investment research across developed and emerging markets. His professional contributions include identifying undervalued securities, analyzing business durability, and assessing management capital allocation, helping deliver strong risk-adjusted returns for institutional clients.

Coste holds dual MBAs in Finance from Northeastern University and NEOMA Business School, reinforcing his analytical expertise and international perspective in equity research and asset allocation. His rigorous, bottom-up approach to identifying mispriced opportunities and focus on long-term value creation have contributed to the success and performance of Tocqueville’s Global Equity strategy.
