Joseph Zock

Joseph A. Zock is Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Tocqueville Asset Management L.P. in New York, where he leads the management of Tax Free Multi Cap Equity portfolios and serves on several key investment committees including U.S. Multi Cap Equity, Global Equity, and International Multi Cap Equity. His responsibilities also include overseeing discretionary and advisory portfolios for a diverse range of individual and institutional clients, and guiding Tocqueville’s multi-sector investment initiatives such as Opportunity Zone projects.

Zock’s investment focus spans traditional publicly-traded equities, private equity, real estate, and multi-sector ESG-compliant strategies. He is notably active in the Opportunity Zone space, managing funds that invest in sectors such as sustainable infrastructure, alternative energy, agriculture, and workforce housing, alongside impact-oriented real estate projects.

Prior to joining Tocqueville in 2006, Zock was President, Chief Investment Officer, and Senior Portfolio Manager at Capital Management Associates for 24 years. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from the University of New Hampshire, a J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, and a CIS from University of London, King’s College School of Law. Zock is recognized for his expertise in multi-cap equity investing, ESG-focused portfolio management, and innovative approaches in community-impact finance.
