Peter Shawn

Peter Shawn is a Portfolio Manager at Tocqueville Asset Management L.P. in New York, where he has been part of the firm since 2005. He is a member of the Multi Cap Equity and International Multi Cap Equity Investment Committees, actively overseeing portfolio construction and investment selection for multi-cap and international equity strategies. His responsibilities include managing client assets, conducting equity research, and ensuring portfolio alignment with investment objectives and risk parameters.

Mr. Shawn focuses on multi-cap equities with a broad remit across U.S. and global markets, leveraging deep experience to identify opportunities among large, mid, and small-cap companies. Prior to Tocqueville, Peter Shawn was a Partner at Lazard Frères & Co. LLC in investment banking, where he advised on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and corporate finance transactions for nearly twelve years. He also worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Merrill Lynch for five years. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Wesleyan University and is recognized for his rigorous analytical skills, broad sector knowledge, and contributions to multi-cap equity investing.
