Zachary Buell

Zachary Buell, CFA, is an Associate – International Equity at Vaughan Nelson Investment Management in Houston, Texas. In his current role, he conducts bottom-up, fundamental equity research with a focus on international and emerging markets strategies, supporting the firm's value investing approach within global equity portfolios. His responsibilities include stock selection, sector analysis, and contributing to investment decision-making for international and global SMID (small- and mid-cap) equity mandates, with coverage across sectors such as Financials, Information Technology, Healthcare, Consumer Staples, and Real Estate.

Prior to joining Vaughan Nelson, Zachary was an Associate in Macro Strategy at J.P. Morgan, where he specialized in global macroeconomic research and investment analysis. He previously served as an Analyst at J.P. Morgan, gaining experience in financial markets, quantitative research, and cross-asset strategies. His expertise spans both equity and macroeconomic research, with a particular focus on identifying value-driven investment opportunities in international markets.

Zachary holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, magna cum laude, from the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business. He is a CFA charterholder and began his investment management and financial analysis career in 2017, accumulating eight years of industry experience to date.
