Ariel Brunn

Ariel Brunn, CFA, is a Portfolio Manager and Investment Analyst at Avalon Trust Company, based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In his current role, he is responsible for constructing and managing client portfolios, identifying new investment opportunities, monitoring existing holdings, and contributing quantitative analysis as a member of Avalon's investment committee. He works closely with the team to provide tailored investment and fiduciary solutions for individuals, families, foundations, and endowments.

Brunn's investment expertise covers both equity and fixed income asset classes, with a focus on integrating bottom-up fundamental analysis and top-down macroeconomic research. He seeks strong growth and value opportunities by targeting high-quality companies with robust financials and strong governance, and manages diversified bond and income strategies centered on capital preservation and stability for client portfolios.

Having joined Avalon Trust in 2014, Brunn previously contributed to financial analysis at Cottonwood Technology Fund, a venture capital firm, and has international experience in Argentina and Germany. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management and a BA in Spanish Literature from the University of British Columbia. Brunn is also a CFA charterholder and serves on the Endowment Advisory Committee for Friends of the Santa Fe Public Library, underscoring his commitment to community and fiduciary stewardship.
