Keith McCormack

Keith McCormack is Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Contrarian Capital Management, L.L.C., based in Wilton, Connecticut. He leads the firm’s Trade Claims & Rescue Financing initiatives and has overseen the Trade Claims investment strategy as portfolio manager since 2010. In his current role, he also spearheads Contrarian’s efforts in acquiring distressed direct loans from direct lenders, and is actively involved in portfolio management and investment committee responsibilities.

Mr. McCormack’s expertise centers on distressed debt, trade claims, and rescue financing within developed markets, particularly focusing on special situations, restructuring, and acquisitions in sectors facing financial distress. Before joining Contrarian in 2004, he worked as a Director at UBS Investment Bank in the Leveraged Finance Group, advising private equity clients on M&A, restructurings, and various capital market transactions. He previously served as Vice President in the Leveraged Finance Group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and later Credit Suisse First Boston, and started his career as Audit Manager at Deloitte & Touche.

Mr. McCormack holds an MBA (Beta Gamma Sigma) from Indiana University Graduate School of Business and a BA from the Catholic University of America. He has served on the boards of The Matlet Group, Custom Food Products, Inc., and Exam Management Services, Inc., reflecting his strong leadership in distressed investing and portfolio company oversight.
