Michael Dimitruk

Michael Dimitruk is a Partner at Dragoneer Investment Group in San Francisco, where he plays a key role in guiding the firm’s growth equity strategies, legal affairs, and risk management. As Partner and former General Counsel, he oversees significant investments in both private and public markets, particularly focusing on high-growth sectors such as technology, SaaS, consumer services, and insurance, in line with Dragoneer’s emphasis on scalable business models and market-leading companies.

Prior to joining Dragoneer, Michael held senior legal and investment positions at leading firms including TPG Capital, Grandmaster Capital Management, Lamond Capital Partners, and ARTIS Capital Management, where he developed deep expertise in private equity, alternative investments, and compliance functions. His previous roles have ranged from General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer to Advisor and Private Equity Investor, contributing to his broad understanding of securities law, fund operations, and the regulatory landscape.

Michael holds a Doctor of Law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Denison University. His extensive career in investment management has made him a trusted leader within Dragoneer, recognized for his multi-disciplinary expertise in organizational growth, legal strategy, and navigating complex transactions across global capital markets.
