Steve Cohen

Steve Cohen is Principal and Portfolio Manager at Credit Capital Investments, LLC (CCI) in New York, where he manages the firm’s fixed income separately managed account (SMA) assets and the Income Priority Fund. He specializes in the credit markets, overseeing high yield, investment-grade, and distressed corporate bonds and leveraged loans, with a particular emphasis on credit strategies for institutional portfolios.

With over 25 years of experience, Steve has covered a wide array of sectors—specifically chemicals, paper & packaging, metals & mining, industrials, transportation, building, and services. His career includes serving as Managing Director and Senior High Yield Analyst at KeyBanc Capital Markets, as well as senior research and trading roles at CIBC, BTIG, and Citigroup, where he was a top-ranked analyst and five-time Institutional Investor Fixed Income Research Team designee.

Steve holds an MBA in Finance from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University. He is widely recognized for leading high yield research groups, developing respected research coverage across basic materials and industrial sectors, and contributing significant expertise to credit market analysis and portfolio management in both buy- and sell-side institutions.
