David Rose

David Rose is the Chief Investment Officer, Senior Vice President, and Managing Director at Granahan Investment Management, based in Dedham, Massachusetts. He is responsible for setting investment strategy and overseeing the management of several key equity portfolios, including the firm's Future Pathways, Small Cap Select, SMID-Select, and MidCap Select strategies. As portfolio manager, he focuses on identifying high-growth opportunities using a fundamental, bottom-up approach, specifically within the small cap and SMID (small- and mid-cap) equity sectors.

Rose brings over 25 years of industry experience, having joined Granahan in 2015 after serving as a partner at Furey Research Partners, where he specialized in small cap stock research for institutional clients. Earlier in his career, he managed highly ranked equity funds at American Century Investments and led a mid-cap fund at Pyramis Global Advisors. His asset class expertise is concentrated in U.S. small and mid-cap equities, across sectors such as technology, healthcare, and consumer.

He holds an MS in Finance, Investments and Banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned his BS in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis. Rose holds the CFA designation, reflecting his depth of knowledge and professional standing in investment management. He is recognized for his rigorous research methods and significant contributions to portfolio performance and investment strategy in smaller-cap growth equities.
