Joseph Cargile

Joseph Cargile serves as Vice President and Senior Trader at Granahan Investment Management, based in Boston, Massachusetts. He joined Granahan in March 2021 as a veteran trader and plays a key role in executing equity trades, managing trading strategies, and supporting portfolio managers across the firm’s suite of small cap growth and value equity strategies.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Cargile was Head Trader at Cadence Capital Management for over two decades, where he gained significant expertise in navigating the U.S. equity markets, particularly for small- and mid-cap stocks. He also held earlier roles as a Surveillance Analyst at the Boston Stock Exchange, giving him a robust foundation in market operations, trade compliance, and regulatory frameworks.

Mr. Cargile holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
