Albert Cha

Albert Cha is a Managing Partner at Frazier Life Sciences, where he co-leads the firm's Life Sciences investment team and is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing investments in public and private biopharmaceutical and medical device companies. Based in Los Altos, CA, he plays a key role in driving the firm's strategy to support innovative therapeutics and address unmet medical needs through venture and growth-stage investments.

Cha specializes in the life sciences sector, with a focus on biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, and related healthcare technologies. His investment expertise spans both public and private markets, and he is actively involved in board governance and strategic guidance for portfolio companies, including serving as Chairman of Ascendis Pharma and previously as a board member of KalVista Pharmaceuticals.

Prior to joining Frazier Life Sciences in 2021, Cha was a Managing Partner at Vivo Capital and held roles in pharmaceutical consulting at Oracle Corporation and biomedical engineering at the Palo Alto VA Hospital. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and an M.D./Ph.D. in Neuroscience from UCLA. Cha is recognized for his contributions to the industry, including co-founding the Dermatology Summit and Dermatology Innovation Forum, and has been instrumental in supporting the development and commercialization of numerous therapeutics throughout his career.
