Angel Martin

Angel Martin, Ph.D., is a Senior Associate at Frazier Life Sciences, where she plays a key role in identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities with a primary focus on biotech therapeutics and innovative technologies in life sciences. Her responsibilities include sourcing deals, conducting scientific and financial due diligence, and supporting portfolio management in both private and public companies developing novel therapeutics.

Dr. Martin has built her career at the intersection of scientific research and venture capital, previously serving as a Healthcare Investment Fellow at Vertex Ventures HC and as Director of Research and Venture Grants at Emerson Collective, where she managed research funding for healthcare innovation. She also contributed to rare disease research as Research Director at the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance, overseeing grant programs and advancing collaborations between non-profits, academia, and industry partners.

She holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Molecular Cancer Biology and a certificate in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Duke University, as well as a B.A. in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan. Dr. Martin leverages her technical expertise in molecular biology, oncology, and rare diseases to inform investment decisions, supporting the advancement of cutting-edge therapies in the biotech and healthcare sectors.
