Daniel Estes, Ph.D., is a General Partner at Frazier Life Sciences in San Diego, where he is instrumental in sourcing, investing in, and building innovative biopharmaceutical companies. He leads investments, company creation, and strategic initiatives, especially during challenging market cycles, drawing on over a decade with Frazier and his earlier experience at McKinsey & Company.

Dr. Estes focuses on both private and public investments in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors, with a significant emphasis on therapeutic company formation, including oncology, dermatology, ophthalmology, women's health, and cutting-edge drug modalities such as small molecules, monoclonal antibodies, and cell and gene therapies. He is particularly involved in spinning out public biotech assets, forging cross-border therapeutic ventures, and supporting the next generation of drug startups across the U.S. and international markets, including collaborations in Singapore and China.

He holds degrees from the University of Michigan and Stanford University, combining scientific expertise with business acumen to create high-impact healthcare ventures.
