Mustafa Aydemir

Mustafa Aydemir is a Senior Investment Analyst at Saturna Capital Corp, having joined the firm in March 2017. Based in Berlin, Germany, he plays a key role in Saturna's international research and portfolio management, focusing particularly on Shariah-compliant (Islamic) equity and fixed income investments for both institutional and high net worth clients. His responsibilities include quantitative and qualitative analysis across global markets, with a particular emphasis on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) metrics and Islamic finance principles.

Mustafa's sector expertise spans oil and gas, financial services, technology, and broader industrials, reflecting both his prior consulting roles and his coverage as an analyst. Before joining Saturna, Mustafa worked in business and technology consulting with Arthur Andersen and SAP in Germany, and later in the Middle East for major energy and petrochemical companies, including Aramco, SABIC, and GPIC. At Saturna Capital Sdn Bhd in Malaysia, he has contributed to the management of some of the world's largest Islamic mutual funds, serving an international client base in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering (magna cum laude) from the University of Esslingen, is a Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (AAOIFI), and has advanced diplomas in Islamic Finance (BIBF, INCEIF). Mustafa is a Chartered Professional in Islamic Finance, a PhD candidate in Islamic ESG Investing (IIUM), and a CFA Level 2 candidate. With over a decade of management consulting and financial research experience, he is recognized for his expertise in sustainable investment ratings and Islamic capital market strategies.
