Robert Sit

Robert W. Sit, CFA, is Vice President of Research and Investment Management at Sit Investment Associates, Inc., based in Minneapolis, MN. In this capacity, he manages small cap, small cap dividend, and mid cap growth portfolios across separately managed accounts, private investment funds, and mutual funds, with a focus on customized solutions for both institutional and individual clients.

Sit provides in-depth fundamental research on companies in the technology and energy sectors, leveraging his expertise to guide portfolio construction and investment selection within these specific industries. His responsibilities include co-managing dedicated strategies targeting small and mid-cap growth equities, as well as contributing research that drives the firm’s investment decisions across their core product offerings.

Joining Sit Investment Associates as a research associate in 1991, Sit advanced to be a key member of the technology research team and has held his current vice president role for over three decades. He earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BA in economics from DePauw University, and is a CFA charterholder. Sit has also contributed to the broader community through board leadership roles at organizations including TPT/Twin Cities PBS and the Abbott Northwestern Hospital Foundation.
