Courtney Owens

Courtney Owens is an Investment Analyst and member of the Investment Committee at Sustainable Growth Advisers, LP, based in New York. In her current role, she conducts fundamental research and analysis focused on global and U.S. large-cap growth equities, primarily covering companies with stable, predictable earnings and cash flow growth over a long-term horizon. Her responsibilities include bottom-up analysis, financial modeling, and integrating ESG considerations into the investment process, contributing directly to portfolio construction and research discussions for the firm's concentrated equity strategies.

Before joining Sustainable Growth Advisers in 2022, Courtney gained industry experience as an Equity Research Associate at William Blair, where she covered public equities and supported senior analysts in sector research and valuation. She began her career at Sustainable Growth Advisers as an analyst intern, deepening her exposure to growth-oriented investment research.

Courtney holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, where she specialized in Value Investing, and a Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her expertise lies in identifying high-quality growth businesses in sectors such as technology, healthcare, and consumer, with an emphasis on financial strength, business quality, and sustainability as key investment criteria.
