Darrin Witt

Darrin R. Witt is a General Partner at WEDGE Capital Management LLP in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he is responsible for idea generation within the firm's Traditional Equity platform and serves as co-head of the small cap research strategy. Witt is a member of the firm's investment policy committee and has played a key role in shaping equity research and portfolio management initiatives for institutional clients.

He specializes in value-oriented equity strategies, with a particular focus on small-cap equities and broader equity research across multiple sectors including finance, commercial services, and consumer services. His work encompasses portfolio management for individuals, pooled vehicles, and institutional investors, delivering tailored investment solutions in these areas.

Prior to joining WEDGE in 2004, Witt was an equity research associate at Smith Barney and Fox-Pitt, Kelton in New York, and previously a consultant at Stern Stewart & Co. working in both New York and Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, with concentrations in finance and accounting, and is a CFA charterholder. Witt was promoted to general partner in 2014 and has over two decades of investment industry experience.
