Mike Ritzer

Mike Ritzer is a General Partner at WEDGE CAPITAL MANAGEMENT LLP in Charlotte, NC. In his current role, he is responsible for mid-cap equity research, focusing on identifying and managing investment opportunities primarily within the mid-cap value segment. His expertise includes covering U.S. equities with an emphasis on mid-cap companies, particularly those exhibiting undervalued fundamentals, with additional attention to the retail/apparel and transaction processing sectors.

Prior to joining WEDGE in 2010, Mike served as a Senior Analyst, further developing his skills in equity research and portfolio management. He has distinguished himself as a CFA charterholder, underscoring his technical proficiency and ethical standards in investment management.

Mike holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business (2010) and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia (2003). He has been recognized for his strong stock picking and analytical abilities, including winning second place at the Darden Capital Management Stock Pitch Competition by pitching Alliance Data Systems, and has participated in the UNC Kenan-Flagler Alpha Challenge focused on retail/apparel sector analysis.
