Andrew Petitjean

Andrew Petitjean is a Partner and Global CLO Portfolio Manager at Brigade Capital Management, LP in New York, where he oversees the firm's collateralized loan obligation (CLO) portfolios and plays a central role in credit-focused investing across leveraged finance markets. His responsibilities include managing CLO transactions, developing investment strategies, and leading a sector analyst team to identify compelling risk-adjusted loan investments within public and private credit markets.

Petitjean's investment focus centers on below investment grade credit, including leveraged loans, CLOs, and credit-backed securities. He works closely with Brigade's dedicated Global CLO management platform, which manages over $11 billion across U.S. CLOs, European CLOs, and U.S. CBOs, with a strategy grounded in rigorous fundamental credit analysis, business quality assessment, and loan structuring.

Before joining Brigade in 2019, Petitjean was Senior Analyst and Head of Credit Research at Kingdon Capital for nearly a decade, where he led the firm’s credit analytical efforts. He earned his MBA in Accounting and Finance from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and graduated magna cum laude with a BA in History, Government, and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College. Petitjean is recognized for his expertise in leveraged finance and has contributed significantly to the growth and issuance of multiple CLO transactions at Brigade.
