Christopher Alfonzo

Christopher Alfonzo serves as Managing Director and Co-Head of Software Development at Brigade Capital Management, LP in New York. In this role, he leads software and infrastructure technology initiatives, overseeing a team responsible for developing and maintaining proprietary systems that support the firm’s global credit investment operations, including trading, portfolio analytics, and risk management.

While his primary focus is on technology strategy, his expertise is integral to Brigade’s credit-focused investment platform, which spans sectors such as leveraged finance, structured credit, high yield, and private credit markets. Alfonzo’s work enables critical real-time decision-making for asset classes including U.S. and European CLOs, senior secured loans, high yield bonds, and other complex credit instruments.

Before joining Brigade in 2013, Alfonzo held positions as Chief Technology Officer at Pocket Jobs and Vice President, U.S. Head of Power and Gas Development at Barclays Capital, where he managed software teams supporting trading and analytic functions for the power and gas sector. He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, specializing in computer and electrical engineering.
