Andrew Fones

Andrew Fones is a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Brown Capital Management LLC in Baltimore, MD, where he has served since 2014. He is a member of the firm’s Small Company team, focusing on small-cap growth equities—specifically U.S. companies with less than $250 million in revenue at the time of investment, across sectors such as technology, healthcare, and consumer industries.

Before joining Brown Capital, Andrew worked as an Equity Analyst at T. Rowe Price from 2010 to 2013, and at UBS from 2001 to 2010, where he covered a range of asset classes and industries. His background includes deep analytical experience and a disciplined approach to growth investing within the small-cap and mid-cap equity segments.

Andrew holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nottingham. He was part of the team awarded Morningstar’s U.S. Domestic-Stock Fund Manager of the Year in 2015 for the Brown Capital Management Small Company Fund, reflecting his significant contribution to the recognition and performance of actively managed small-cap strategies.
