Ed Zane

Ed Zane is Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Brown Capital Management LLC, where he leads investment strategies within the International Small Company and International All Company teams. Having joined Brown Capital Management in 2022, he is responsible for portfolio construction, security selection, and research, with a focus on identifying exceptional growth companies in the international small- and mid-cap equity markets.

Zane specializes in investing across international equities, concentrating on sectors including technology, business services, industrials, and consumer companies. His expertise is leveraged in both mutual fund and separately managed account products targeting institutional and individual clients seeking global growth opportunities.

Before joining Brown Capital Management, Ed Zane held portfolio management and analyst roles at Gardner Lewis Asset Management, Kalmar Investments, and Chilton Investment Company. Earlier in his career, he was involved in private equity at Bain Capital and management consulting at Bain & Company. He holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, underscoring a robust foundation in both analytical and strategic investment approaches.
