Eric George

Eric George is a Portfolio Manager at HM Payson & Co in Portland, Maine, where he focuses on discretionary portfolio management for private clients. With more than forty years of experience in the retail brokerage and investment management sector, Eric brings a disciplined, long-term approach to asset allocation, risk analysis, and equity research. His career includes positions at major institutions such as Merrill Lynch, Advest, and First Union Securities prior to joining HM Payson in 2018.

Eric specializes in managing diversified portfolios spanning multiple asset classes, with a primary focus on quality equities, fundamental research, and long-term growth strategies. As part of the investment management team, he keeps a close eye on market trends, economic developments, and sector dynamics to develop customized investment policies for each client.

He holds a B.S. from the University of New Hampshire and an M.S. from Troy State University, as well as the CFP® credential and FINRA Series 7, 8, 15, 63, and 65 licenses.
