Eric Leve

Eric Leve, CFA, is the Chief Investment Officer at Bailard, Inc., based in San Mateo, California, a role he held for over a decade before transitioning in July 2025 to serve as portfolio manager focused on international markets. As CIO, he directed Bailard’s investment teams and was instrumental in broadening the firm's expertise across multiple asset classes, including global sovereign debt, international equities, and dedicated emerging markets strategies. His work emphasized the importance of country selection, geopolitics, and macroeconomic trends in shaping investment outcomes, with specific attention to sectors such as emerging markets and broad non-U.S. equity.

With over 38 years at Bailard, Eric has co-managed the firm's international equity and emerging markets strategies, and previously held roles as Chief Investment Officer for institutional assets and as Portfolio Manager for international equities. He is recognized for developing sophisticated strategies that integrate geopolitical insights with investment selection, helping guide the firm's long-term portfolio architecture.

Eric earned his B.A. in Quantitative Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a CFA charterholder. His leadership and strategic vision have significantly contributed to Bailard’s reputation for innovative and resilient investment solutions, especially in dynamic and complex international markets.
