Mark Wegner

Mark Wegner is a Research Analyst at Polen Capital Management LLC, based in Boston, Massachusetts. On the Leveraged Credit team, he focuses on in-depth fundamental analysis and security selection within high-yield and leveraged credit asset classes, contributing to the construction of concentrated, value-oriented credit portfolios that seek compelling risk-adjusted returns throughout credit cycles.

Wegner's area of expertise includes U.S. and European high yield bonds, leveraged loans, and collateralized loan obligations (CLOs). He brings substantial sector depth, having previously specialized in the consumer products and retail industries during his tenure at Silver Point Capital, and has extensive experience in credit restructuring from his earlier role as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Restructuring Group at Rothschild Inc.

With over 20 years in the industry, Wegner joined DDJ Capital in 2008; following its 2022 acquisition by Polen Capital, he continued in his credit analyst capacity. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and his career is distinguished by rigorous credit research and sector specialization across multiple economic cycles.
