Brian Whisnant

Brian H. Whisnant is a General Partner at WEDGE CAPITAL MANAGEMENT L L P, based in Charlotte, NC, where he is responsible for equity research and idea generation within the firm’s Traditional Equity platform. He serves as a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee, helping guide overall investment strategy and portfolio construction across the equity space.

Brian specializes in traditional equity investments, with a focus on quantitative equity strategies. His responsibilities include analyzing public equities across various sectors to identify value-oriented investment opportunities for institutional and high-net-worth clients.

Prior to joining WEDGE in 2006, Brian was a Consultant with Accenture in Reston, Virginia, where he worked on strategic projects for corporate clients. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. With nearly two decades of investment experience and CFA credentials, Brian is recognized for his expertise in equity research and portfolio management within the institutional asset management industry.
