Clayton Albers

Clayton Albers is Vice President and Quantitative Analyst at WEDGE Capital Management L.L.P. in Charlotte, NC. He leads the development and maintenance of the firm’s quantitative models, which are utilized across its investment strategies, and manages equity trade order creation and execution. Clayton is a member of the Investment Policy Committee, where he helps shape portfolio construction and risk management decisions.

His investment focus centers on quantitative methods for value equity and fixed income strategies, supporting WEDGE’s commitment to disciplined, model-driven equity selection and portfolio management. Prior to joining WEDGE in 2017, Clayton spent time as an Accounting Manager at Emerging Sovereign Group in New York, and previously worked as an Experienced Assurance Associate at PwC, advancing his expertise in financial analysis and assurance.

Clayton holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Accounting from UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School. He is a CFA Charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), underscoring his strong analytic and professional credentials. His contributions include enhancing WEDGE’s proprietary quantitative models and supporting the firm's robust investment process, particularly in U.S. equity asset classes.
