Matthew Gill is a Research Analyst at Polen Capital Management, based in London, where he is a member of the firm’s Emerging Markets Growth team. He joined Polen Capital in August 2022 and is responsible for the bottom-up research and investment analysis of companies across global emerging markets, focusing on identifying high-quality growth businesses with the capacity for long-term value creation.

Matthew specializes in the analysis of companies within emerging markets, applying a concentrated, high-conviction investment strategy that targets 25-40 best ideas and espouses an ESG-integrated, long-term, and benchmark-agnostic approach. At Polen Capital, he works collaboratively to deliver investment solutions that prioritize both capital preservation and compounding growth, leveraging his expertise in global and sector-agnostic research within developing economies.

Before joining Polen Capital, Matthew served as an Investment Analyst at Stewart Investors, also focusing on emerging markets, from 2018 to 2022. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge and completed studies in Art History at Université Paris-Sorbonne, reflecting a strong academic background that contributes to his analytical and cross-cultural investment insights.
