Bruce Kahn

Bruce Kahn is the Senior Portfolio Manager at Shelton Capital Management, based in Fairfield, CT, where he leads the Shelton Sustainable Equity Fund. His responsibilities center on managing global equity portfolios with a specific emphasis on integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors, and his investment themes focus on agribusiness, clean technology, energy transition, carbon capture, and the broader spectrum of environmental sustainability.

Dr. Kahn brings over 25 years of experience in environmental and investment research, previously holding senior roles at MSCI Inc., Deutsche Bank Asset Management, Citibank, Macquarie Global, and Smith Barney. He has shaped sustainable and thematic investment strategies across asset classes such as agriculture, natural resources, water infrastructure, clean tech, and real assets, and has been influential in advancing ESG and SRI frameworks for institutional and high-net-worth clients.

Holding a Ph.D. in Environmental Science (Land Resources) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an M.S. in Fisheries and Allied Aquacultures from Auburn University, and a B.A. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Connecticut, Dr. Kahn is also a lecturer at Columbia University in Sustainable Finance and Statistics for Sustainability Management. He is a recognized authority in sustainable investing, serves on sustainability-focused foundation boards, and actively contributes to policy and technical panels relating to renewable energy and sustainable development.
