Nick Griebenow

Nick Griebenow, CFA, is a Portfolio Manager at Shelton Capital Management, based in Denver, Colorado, where he oversees the firm's Option Overlay Strategies and co-manages the Equity Income Fund. In his current role, he is responsible for designing and implementing equity and options-based portfolio solutions, with a specific focus on covered call and buy-write strategies that generate income and mitigate portfolio volatility for investors, especially those nearing retirement. His investment expertise is centered on U.S. equities and listed options, specifically in option overlay and income-generation strategies within separately managed accounts and mutual funds.

Prior to joining Shelton Capital Management in 2018, Nick spent over five years at Charles Schwab, where he served as Manager – Senior Options Trader. There, he supported sophisticated client trading needs and contributed to options education by developing "The Options Academy" curriculum. He began his career as a Financial Representative Intern at COUNTRY® Financial.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colorado State University and is a CFA Charterholder. He is recognized for his deep technical knowledge in derivatives trading and portfolio risk management, and he has contributed industry insights through published work on options strategies, including featured articles for Nasdaq.com and Cboe.
